Privacy Policy for Peso Flex
Last Updated: 03/25 2025
1. Introduction
Welcome to Peso Flex. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and where it is stored when you use our mobile application (the "App"). By using Peso Flex, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect and How We Use It
To provide our services and ensure the security of our platform, we collect the following types of information. We will only access this information with your explicit permission granted through your device's permission system.
A. Information You Provide Directly
We collect information you voluntarily enter, such as your name, phone number, email address, and payment details required to use the core features of the App. This information is used for account creation, customer support, and transaction processing.
B. Device and Application Information
When you use Peso Flex, we automatically collect information about your device and how you interact with the App. This includes your device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (such as Android ID or Advertising ID), mobile network information, and IP address. We use this data for diagnostics, to ensure App compatibility, and to protect against fraudulent account creation.
C. Installed Applications List
With your permission, we may access the list of applications installed on your device. We do not read the contents of those other apps. This information is strictly used for security and fraud prevention. Specifically, it helps us identify the presence of potentially malicious software, VPNs that hide true location, or patterns associated with "loan stacking" fraud, thereby protecting your account and our platform from risk.
D. Approximate Location
We may collect information about your approximate geographic location (city or region level) based on your IP address or network data. We do not track your precise, real-time GPS location. This approximate location is used to comply with local laws and regulations and to verify that you are accessing the service from an authorized region.
E. Contacts List
If you grant the App permission to access your Contacts, we access only the names and phone numbers stored in your address book. We use this access for two specific purposes. First, to allow you to easily select an emergency contact during the account verification process. Second, for fraud prevention analysis (for example, detecting if a device is linked to a large number of unconnected contacts, which is a common fraud indicator). We do not upload or store a copy of your entire contact list on our servers. Only the specific contact(s) you choose as an emergency contact will be transmitted and stored. Other contact data is processed locally on your device or transmitted as encrypted, anonymized metadata.
F. Call Log
With your permission, we may access limited metadata from your call log. This includes information like call duration, the date and time of calls, and the frequency of communication, but we never access or listen to the content of your calls. This metadata is used to verify that the device SIM card matches the phone number registered with the account and to detect irregular communication patterns indicative of fraud.
G. Camera
We request access to your camera only when you use specific features within the App, such as verifying your identity by taking a photo of your ID card or capturing a profile picture. The App cannot access your camera at any other time. Images captured are encrypted and transmitted directly to our secure servers for verification processing.
3. Where Is Your Data Stored and Uploaded?
The data we collect from you is transmitted securely using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) and stored on secure servers managed by Peso Flex and our trusted service providers. Our primary data storage servers are located in [Insert Country or Region, e.g., United States / Singapore / European Union] . We apply strict security measures, including firewalls and access controls, to prevent unauthorized access to your data.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information or sensitive user data to any third party. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
· Service Providers: We share necessary data with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the App, such as cloud hosting providers, identity verification services, and fraud detection tools. These partners are contractually obligated to keep your data confidential and secure.
· Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or governmental regulation.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with the Peso Flex services and for legitimate business purposes, such as fraud prevention or compliance with legal obligations. When the data is no longer required, we will securely delete or anonymize it.
6. Your Control and Permissions
You are in control of the sensitive permissions granted to Peso Flex. You can withdraw consent at any time by going to your Android device's Settings > Apps > Peso Flex > Permissions, and toggling off the specific permission. Please note that disabling certain permissions (such as Camera or Contacts) may prevent you from using specific features like identity verification or emergency contact selection, but you will still be able to access other basic features of the App.
7. Children's Privacy
Peso Flex is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. Prominent In-App Disclosure
In compliance with Google Play policy, we provide this clear notice regarding how we handle sensitive data:
Peso Flex uses the following sensitive permissions:
· Contacts: Used locally to help you pick emergency contacts and for fraud risk scoring.
· Call Log: Used for device verification and fraud detection (metadata only).
· Camera: Used only when you take a photo for identity verification.
· Installed Apps: Used to check for malicious software and prevent fraud.
· Location (Approximate): Used for regulatory compliance and security.
Data is transmitted securely and never sold to third parties.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page within the App. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
